This project involved the capacity expansion and renovation of a transformer installation in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The owner selected Yanghua's 1600A universal flexible busbar for interconnecting equipment within narrow power distribution cabinets. The flexible busbar required no additional assembly or intermediate joints, enabling direct overlapping with existing copper bars through drilled hole connections. During installation, directional changes at corners were easily accomplished by simply bending the flexible conductor within its rated radius, completely eliminating the need for dedicated turning adapters. This resulted in a more labor-efficient installation process and a cleaner, more organized cabinet interior appearance.

Project Background & Challenges

The transformer renovation project required connecting equipment within narrow power distribution cabinets where rigid busbar systems would need complex adapters, multiple joints, and extensive assembly work, prolonging downtime and complicating the retrofit process.

  • Extremely narrow power distribution cabinets limiting working space for conductor installation
  • Multiple directional turns within the cabinet requiring adapters in conventional rigid busbar systems
  • Need for direct termination onto existing copper bars without intermediate connection hardware
  • Retrofit environment demanding minimal downtime and rapid installation turnaround

Solution

Yanghua supplied 1600A universal flexible busbars that installed directly into the tight cabinet spaces without additional assembly. The conductors could be bent at any corner within the bending radius, drilled for direct overlap with existing copper bars, and required no turning adapters, delivering a faster and more aesthetically clean installation.

  • Installed 1600A universal flexible busbars requiring no additional assembly or intermediate joints
  • Enabled direct corner bending within rated radius, eliminating the need for turning adapters
  • Supported drill-and-overlap termination directly onto existing switchgear copper bars
  • Compact and flexible design enabled a clean, organized cabinet layout with reduced installation time
