This project is located in an industrial park in Panyu District, Guangzhou, and serves as a self-consumption energy storage system for the park. Yanghua supplied high-current flexible busbars in 1000A, 500A, and 300A ratings, deployed from the PCS outlet of the energy storage cabinet to the busbar of the low-voltage distribution cabinet. The busbars were laid in buried pipe conduits. The compact form factor and excellent heat dissipation characteristics of flexible busbars enabled efficient buried-pipe installation. The solution required no additional joints for long-distance runs, offered convenient construction, and achieved high aesthetic quality in the finished installation.

Project Background & Challenges

The energy storage system required reliable high-current connections from the PCS to the low-voltage cabinet through buried pipe routing, demanding a solution with small cross-section, excellent heat dissipation, and the ability to run long distances without intermediate joints.

  • Buried pipe routing imposed strict dimensional constraints on conductor cross-section and bend radius within conduit
  • Heat dissipation in enclosed buried pipe environments posed a risk of thermal derating with conventional cable solutions
  • Multiple PCS-to-busbar connections required a flexible solution adaptable to varying current ratings across different circuits
  • Industrial park operational aesthetics demanded a clean, organized electrical installation with minimal visible cable clutter

Solution

Yanghua provided 1000A, 500A, and 300A flexible busbars installed in buried pipe conduits, enabling continuous long-distance runs from PCS outlets to the low-voltage busbar without any intermediate joint connections.

  • Deployed three flexible busbar current ratings (1000A, 500A, 300A) matched to each circuit's load requirement for optimized sizing
  • Installed busbars in buried pipe conduits, leveraging the compact flat conductor profile for efficient space utilization within pipes
  • Eliminated all intermediate joints by exploiting the continuous long-length manufacturing capability of flexible busbars
  • Achieved superior heat dissipation through the flat conductor geometry, preventing thermal buildup even in enclosed buried pipe conditions
